ABSTRACT:
Road traffic accident is one of the amongst the biggest killers across the world said by World Health Organization (WHO).The major objectives of the study were to find out the level of awareness of Indian traffic rules among B.Ed Students and to find out the significant difference in the awareness of Indian traffic rules among B.Ed students with regard to selected demographic variables. A sample size of 282 B.Ed students were selected through simple random sampling technique in Tirunelveli district. Survey method was adopted for the study. Findings revealed that 78.0% of the B.Ed students have moderate level of awareness of Indian traffic rules. Result also indicated that there is significant difference was found between aided and self finance college B.Ed students in their awareness on Indian traffic rules. And 69.1% of the B.Ed students who have own vehicles possess moderate level of awareness on Indian Traffic Rules.
